And I watched this 2005 feature film, Fashion and Human Rights, in the early morning about how workers in China slog it out, earning a few cents per jeans and are part of a horrid work environment (working overtime without pay, insufficient rest, sad meals). And it's pretty weird thinking if my own pair of jeans might have been made by the very same people. It doesn't justify their salaries/treatment with the amount of work put in and it's a really sad fact =/

Hey all! It's been forever since I've last updated heh. Hello Amanda!! *waves* =p

Basically, I've transformed into an utter slob and night owl. My body clock has turned the total opposite where I sleep at around 6am (when my brother wakes up for work) and wake up at 2pm (which causes me to skip breakfast and leads to an extremely late lunch). And despite knowing that this shouldn't be happening, I can't help but help it to happen *faints* And I've been watching a whole bunch of dramas/movies/videos and playing a whole ton of different games (Shockwave games!) all through the night >.<"" Not forgetting, I've been thinking of attempting to bring out my dusty sewing machine back to life again! But the catch is...I'm lazy =x

And these days, when things tend not to go the way it's supposed to, I get moody and well, depressed. Gah!

Spent last Sunday at MJ's family chalet which turned out pretty entertaining and yes, I should stop being a scaredy cat >.<" The 3 lil kiddos (2 boys and a girl) are so cute! MJ was called "Chicken Wing" HAHA! and I was named "Barbie" (I thought she called me "Babi" which made me go: ehh! O_O") and was told that I have "big teeth", "big mouth" and "big ears" LOL! Yes...Kids say the darnest (and true!) things ^^"" Looking (and playing) with the hyper kids past 11pm reveals to me how tiring it is for parents to put their kids to bed every night lol... Caught Push together with his cousin, Chermaine, after midnight and the movie was...a-okay. Not as horrible as how Olivia and Dicki depicted it to be haha!

Results are out! And this time, unlike the previous 3 semesters' results, my dad had no words to say. I have no idea if that's a good or bad thing but I'll just take it as a good thing @_@" Am not gonna say much about my results except for the fact that I am proud of my Open House team (and supporters)! It has been proven that we have done a pretty darn good job (to hell with the <b><i>redundant immature feedback from we-know-who-they-are)! Sub-bosses can all get promoted to boss already lah =p MJ and Dicki share really similar traits of being satisfied (and happy!) with their results even if they aren't one of the best in class haha! Which is a pretty good thing of living life contented lol =p

And what's shocking (at least to me) is that Ken'ichi Matsuyama is the acting as Negishi aka Krauser! Sugoi!! If you're not aware, Ken'ichi's acted as "L" in Death Note The Movie. Oh my gawd...he seriously looks like this famous comedian (that appeared in Ya-Ya-Yah/Arashi/Some Johnny shows) when he's in the real Negishi mode @_@""

I wonder how they are gonna execute the crazy drumming skills of DMC's drummer lol...and how MDA's gonna rate the movie..hmm..^^" from a sick/vulgar/violent manga to anime and now movie! omg...@_@"" but it's friggin hilarious! can't wait to watch this! =x

God has really amazing ways of work, I'm so amazed and blessed!

Event after event of depression and sadness, along comes the blessings - one after another. It's the happiest I've felt in a long time. First comes the monetary concerns, fines after fines plagued mine and MJ's pockets (we paid more than $100 bucks =.="). Then comes the anticipated events that got changed - V.Day plans made last year had to accommodate to last min auditions for Syakira and AMR. Exams that screwed our body clocks - Around 5hrs of sleep before each exam. My brother's birthday celebration to be held on Sat afternoon. Many would have already known what had happened today (Friday the 13th indeed) and thankfully, I'm still in shock but I'm fine. And thank you to those who have expressed their concern - you all mean alot to me =)

There's the inner voice that had spoken to me today but I hadn't taken it seriously and I've realised that all that it spoke of was right (Like I should have turned left and I didn't because I thought I could make it). And coincidentally, this topic about following your "inner voice" which is in actual fact, the Holy Spirit, was touched upon last Sunday at NCC.

At my lowest today, God came and saved me from my worries and depression. All the fines have been paid off and we're still able to survive. The auditions got canceled and changed to recording for Syakira and AMR, and my brother's celebration's moved to Monday - leaving the whole V.Day the way it was planned initially and perfectly. Exams turned out pretty alright~ Had breakfast before every exam and managed to finish all papers on time despite arriving late.
The driver of the lorry hasn't gotten back to me about the compensation though he was supposed to (hopefully it'll go fine), my family were not over the top over what happened (my mom even comforted me which was a great surprise), no one got hurt, the van had minimal damage.

The best thing is, my boyfriend's with me through and through, rushing back to be by my side, scolding me and telling me off because he cares so deeply, I feel really truly blessed. =)

It's really surreal how I came back home tonight with an extremely heavy heart, and after I praying hard for things to go right, it really did - one after another, things unfolded and things just went right. God loves us indeed =) Alhamdulillah and Hallelujah!

imagine the thrill of sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night cuz your stomach's grumbling like there's no tomorrow. eating at home, never fails to leave me hungry again after a few hours >.<"

drove over to MJ's place to pick him up. Traffic was pretty good. Travelled to Hougang but realised that the restaurant was closing in 10 mins ._." next best place: airport!

Made a fool of ourselves tugging and pulling each other in front of 2 security ppl cuz I was trying to get away from eating panadol >.< they seemed pretty amused by us..nooo! @@ went over to ya kun to eat burnt toast and a hot cup of teh c and milo (pretty nuts to travel all the way just to eat this O_O") and why is it that every single time we eat there, our toast in one way or another never fails to get burnt =.=" oh well.

went to explore changi after food... a very peaceful night which is pretty awesome and rare =) and what's better, we can see planes flying so close! Haha! At 4am, there were already quite a number of cars coming to work, driving towards the "restricted road"..craziness @@ waking up at 2 to 3 am to work...

predicted that my parents would only wake at 5 but only reached slightly after that. Just when I reached my door, I heard my mom talking behind it, as if getting ready to leave @@ panicked like siao, pressing the lift button and hoping that my parents won't open the door at any moment >.< I even rushed into the lift where the newspaper boy said that it was going up ._." kuku-ated man... after an eternity, the lift came! called MJ, thank god he's still nearby. planned how to watch out and hide, it made me feel like a detective or a runner lol. Hid in the van, with him bored haha, and me tensed, looking up at the room lights. after some time that my parents' room light was off, I came out of the van and to my horror, there they were! Zomg! Ducked back into the van, hoping I wasn't seen Haha...MJ kept a lookout and they walked away without any suspicion yay! =p waited for a few more mins before getting out of the van and went back up home...

Me: You wanna come in for a while until midnight charges are over? *opens the door*
*there's the sound of the TV*
Both: O_O"
MJ: Looks like your sister's already awake

The Media Red Carpet!

it's been forever since I've later updated. been busy with a gazellion things that I haven't quite had the time and mood to blog.

Many exciting things have happened since the start of 2009!
DMSM's The Media Red Carpet Open House booth has been a pretty good experience and the last live show was friggin awesome! Though I knocked into Reggie's guitar >.<" sorry! The performers really rocked it! RAMR! And the Foreign Bodies dancers!
Despite many other shortcomings and extremely last min changes that resulted in the degradation of our Mini Booth and Photo Montage, and non-existence of our original nomination vids and queue poles and more, I believe God has put things into place and made everything turn out well =)
Thank you so much to my sub-bosses - Sharon, Khad and Raudha! Our plus 1s and 2s - MJ and Haikal! Not forgetting our lecturers and everyone else who supported us!

Since then, I haven't exactly had the time and energy to chiong all the other projects which doesn't seem to have an end =/ and I always end up having to wake up earlier almost everyday just to settle family matters gah.. It's exhausting @@ and exams are coming up real soon omg...*faints* Ganbatte everyone!

Seriously, the airport is a condusive environment to type reports =p haha! Been here with MJ since 2-3am in the morning cuz Macs didn't have enough power plugs (dang it!) Food's awesome at TCC~ *floats* oishii desu yo~~~~ XDD AND DUNG i have japanese class later and i have yet to finish my hw! OMG. I am so looking like I'm about to fly off on a trip on Japan with my fat-stuffed bag and MJ's jacket over an oversized tee and geeky specs (ok maybe not) but sigh. i wanna go to Japan! =( i love the airport. mmm.

I see many fellow DB-ians burning the midnight oil as well =p all hail lena! whoa! Thank goodness it's about a company that I have some interest in~ ~~zomgcheechongfunjustequatesneardeath~~ ah.

totally sucks that i had to just fall sick when there were so many things i wanted to doooo~! i'm sorry to those whom i had to cancel my plans with >.< gomen nasai! =(

I've completed my driving practical lessons! driving an auto-car is seriously damn relaxing than a manual one. shiok! other than its wider turns, it was pretty uneventful (my butt was rotting! taking 2 lessons a day is only for certain persons >.<") the most horrid news is that the test date is more than zomg 2 months later *dies* totally can't make it for EOY =/

Went to grab some fresh air to clear my head today by cycling~ Cycled from East Coast Park to Changi with MJ, my personal trainer/motivator/irritator. Really exhausting for me due to the lack of exercise for months! But it's a good form of exercise though it left me with really wobbly legs after that @_@"

My laptop had gone bonkers recently. Lost all of my desktop and my document files and all the bookmarks in IE and Firefox (noooooooo!!!) And what's shocking is, when I am at an lj page using IE, the words are in Japanese @_@" ~~to get started for Japanese class not?~~

School's starting...TOMORROW! *gasps* The hols seriously fly by like a breeze >.< いやだよ！！

~~Lame~~ Disclaimer: the title of the entry has no relation to the content other than the fact that, i've been burying my face into Stephenie Meyer's book in an attempt to escape from reality.

Both MJ and I started our day feeling like crap and ended the day on a lovely note. Thank God I have this kuku by my side =)

MJ got his new beloved ~~drum~~sticks today! He's a happy happy boy =p Issac's "You broke your stick??" and Cashier dude at Yamaha's "Here are your (new) sticks" cracks me up XD;;

my very dear bf surprised me last sunday by buying me the very book that i have been craving for, for a long time XD it's shocking, considering the fact that he is no bookworm neither does he quite like me being distracted ~~from him~~ by a book. and he even took more than 4 months!! (if i recall correctly) to read Eragon and STILL not finish it ._." mada mada dane..*shakes head* haha! And I'm just done reading the second book of the series~ <3

The book(s): Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

It's really good *thumbs up* at least more so for females =p And yeah, i am quite outdated by only reading it now >.<" It's not as gripping as the Harry Potter series (where you just hate being disturbed while reading) but it was a very emotional read (at least for New Moon and not for Twilight). It's embarrassing to recall tearing up in the train ride towards Woodlands while reading New Moon yesterday >///<

Breaking up not because you don't love the person but because of certain circumstances, even while knowing that the love for each other is there and is strong, it's hurts and it's hard to move on. And it turns out that the forbidden lovers came back to each other again. The story with Bella and Edward seems very far-fetched at times but it's something that I can relate to.

Twilight, the movie, is coming to theatres soon~~~~~~~ YAY! XD On 25th December 2008 - Christmas! And Robert Pattinson, who acted as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies, is acting as Edward Cullen! *_* Awesome~~ <3 Am totally looking forward to it!

Met up with Kai today to watch Hana Yori Dango Final and Ji-chan joined us for dinner after that~ Bumped into Hayati and Fatimah whom I've met at the JEFC chalet and it's really great that despite meeting just once quite some time ago, we still do remember each other =)

The movie was pretty interesting and loads of crack moments =p Definitely more for fans of the series. Jun/Tsukasa cursing in English cracked me up pretty bad =x The scene where Tsukasa was walking through the water half-naked and saying "aishiteru" in a sexy voice totally makes me melt and my heart go doki-doki XD;; And check out the shirts they were wearing! Tsukushi was wearing this yellow tee than has the word "Porn" ROFL! Do they even know what it means?!? @_@"" Not a bad movie though there were a couple of ZOMFWTF scenes~ And it's a relief to know that you have a bf that's not such a huge baka as Tsukasa ~~though sometimes you wish he can be as sweet as him =x~~ XD

YATTA! revamped layout! <3

it's the holidays~~~~~~ so what has everyone been up to? ^^

been going to SSDC almost every weekday for driving lessons and things have been better since a particular unfortunate incident =) amanda was right about have a fixed number of instructors assigned to you even though you didn't opt for a fixed instructor (which you have to pay extra for) and i think they're gonna get sick of seeing my face soon lol. i'm already halfway through yay! hopefully i'll be able to finish them before school starts~

Watched a number of rented movies during the hols too~ Harold and Kumar in Guantanamo Bay, American Pie at Band Camp (hilarious and plain gross!), There's Something About Mary, Blood Diamond. At times like these, you start feeling good that you're 18! =p

Movies in Theatres!
Money No Enough II - Didn't watch the first movie though =/ Not too bad cuz it kinda sucks not being able to understand certain parts where it's super hilarious to MJ (who practically laughed the loudest in the theatre >.<") and it's just ha-ha to me. Most probably due to "lost in translation". But the movie does strike a chord in the heart =)

The Hunting Party~ Watched this because at that point in time, most of the movies that were showing were not appealing >.< And I got drawn to it by the concept (it's somehow related to us media students =p) and RICHARD GERE (yes you heard me >.<). Though there's quite a bit of bullshit here and there (which they claim to be true O_O"), really, the money and time spent watching was worth it! Not a movie that's has been hyped up but it's worth watching =)

Wall-E's awesome! Totally loved it~ <3 Being the emotional being that I try to keep away, it's was hard to not cry when Eve tried to revive Wall-E =( I think the voice actors did a really good job in portraying the characters without any proper speech most of the time. Two thumbs up!

Quite a number of promising movies coming soon!
Babylon A.D. (MJ's dragging me into this but it does looks interesting), Youth without Youth (Directed by Sofia Coppola's daddy! Yes, IMM has affected me too much ^^"), High School Musical 3 (HAHAHA! yes, stab me please =x), Quantum of Solace (It's Bond! and it looks pretty awesome) and not forgetting..

Kurosagi (aka The Black Swindler)! How can I not watch it when it's YAMAPI?!?! but but but Kai says that it flopped in Japan >.<""

Have been following USA's Project Runway Season 5 since the first few episodes. It's getting pretty interesting~ There's even a competition for the designers to design for drag queens! Funny stuff and craaazy designs =p And there's been so many different versions of the series now with Project Runway Canada (hosted by Supermodel Iman! but i don't quite like her hosting though =/) , Australia, Philippines! O_O

Gossip Girl! Thanks to Haikal's influence, i've been hooked *_* Season 2's starting to spice things up again~ I'm liking Chuck for his softer and sensitive side despite him being such a bad boy =p And I dunno why but i don't quite like the NateXSerena pairing >.< I'd like hot Nate for myself =p hahahaha!

Finally caught up with me =p hahaha

Secondly,
Apologies to dear MJ for doing what i did (though even if you did it again, i'd still be battling between the invigilators and you >.<" so i hope you understand)

This semester's exam period has to be the absolute worst ever. Distractions left, right, center. I mourn at not being able to watch the remaking of sporting history =( though there have been a couple of exceptions i've made >.<

The papers have been pretty erm...*insert adjective here*. Though i know that i could have studied better, have a better grasp of time management, i think i kinda pulled off the exams better than i had expected i will @_@ i think. Well..considering the temptations of the TV and Net =p (which reminds me that i shouldn't be blogging now too..oh well) wtf with PR and MMR indeed.

I just caught the women's softball match between Japan (YEAH!) and Australia and damn...it was seriously awesome! *_* From the supposed original set of 7, the match got dragged till the 12th set (because they tied after each set) which made the whole match last more than 3 zomgwtfbbq hours! And the softball match gives me the feel of baseball instead (yeah New York Yankees!) and my heart was beating fast during the match lol! Thank God Japan won or I would have been too demoralized to continue with MMR XD YATTA ZE! And they were even playing a Naruto theme song during the match ROFL!

Gymnastics! *points to dp* Love love love it! And doesn't Uchimura Kohei from Japan look like Slam Dunk's Rukawa Kaede?!?!?1 *floats* The girls from US are amazing! *am jealous* So do the China girls and i, too, think that some of them look really young to be competing o_o" Whoohoo Nastia Liukin~! <3 tall, pretty and absolutely awesome! Shawn Johnson is really really good too *_* And there's been this huge hoo-haa over the scoring system during the individual events and it totally sucks that i can't watch/read about it! >.<" exams begone!

And not forgetting, Congrats to Singapore for ~~finally~~ winning a silver medal! One of the best (and painful-est table tennis matches I've ever seen! *_*

I missed most of Phelps events! T^T *cries*

Usain Bolt is mfckin awesome! You gotta watch him seriously!

Short update!

First of all, I gotta apologize to my team mates for missing edwin's presentation. I'm sorry! T^T

Secondly, to my multicam ICA2 group mates, AWESOME JOB gurls (and a guy!) So much positive comments that I didn't expect and today really made me proud of everyone in the team =) And thank you Ainon and Afam(sp?) for saving our asses! The Maple and Butter Show yeah! XD

I am so hyped up for multicam ICA4! It sounds really fun plus I have team mates who are just as enthusiastic as I am =p Otaku madness lol! This is one of the rare times I've ever seen YM so hyper =x nyahahahaha! We are so gonna play a kanjani8 song (or at least a johnny's song)! XD yatta ze! Haruhi dansu~~~ <3

SPSS sucks ass big time. period.

Soccer today was...pretty eventful lol. 7 members playing this week (which is sad! T_T) Sean, Thom, MJ, YM, Khad, Syaq and I. Playing with a volleyball as a soccer ball -> not a good idea. The ball flew over the fence zomgno.of times. Thom and I tripped over the ball. I fell and knocked my head on the floor of the street soccer court T^T YM did the funniest thing ever! with MJ's imitation some time later XD; Sean got hit by a rebound ball in the face ROFL! I might have gone kuku from the knock on my skull @_@ But I shan't be the no. 1 kuku! LOL

And seriously, MS0702 should get our own class-soccer-ball >.<"

Today's been a pretty good day~ Had driving practical in the morning X3 First time getting out of the circuit and into the main roads and i gotta admit that i think the circuit's more challenging =x due to "drunken drivers who are sober" (in other words, the virgin drivers) lol. you really have no idea where they wanna go XD;;

Spent our 11th month anniversary with bf relaxing~ Watched Lost in Translation (I really can't seem to tear myself away from schoolwork =/) which turned out pretty boring >.< Fell asleep during John Mayer's concert XD;; yes, i should be stabbed for that because he's really really good! *_* Had an awesome dinner at Ichiban~ Sukiyaki! <3 A rare relaxing day well spent in my opinion =)

Happy 11th Month baby~ Thank you for being there for me despite all the obstacles we have faced and will face. Thank you for putting a smile to my face with your kuku antics (yes, i never fail to say this =p) and I am proud of you for being who are and being passionate at what you do best. Love you loads~ <3

I confess that Miss Siti Khadijah has led me to become an addict to Diner Dash. LOL.

The most hectic week's over (for now)! Yeah! It's been a non-stop emotional week and i'm glad the wave's over =) Unfortunately, Jersey Day this week got called off >.< Sorry YM! =( Hopefully, the response for next week's better ^^ Maybe everyone should chip in to get a "class soccer ball" since Thom's ball got thrashed XD;

MJ had a haircut yesterday! And man...never ever let him cut his hair! The sequence of events as followed:

feeling horribly disappointed at how my shots turned out. gomen ne, poyo-chan, ochibi and boon =( i'll try to salvage them as much as i can though >.<

tons of projects to do, so little time. driving practical lessons starting again next week in the early morning. final theory test at end july. exams coming up in august. my head's throbbing. my throat's not doing any better and my voice's croaky >.< sexy not!

ganbatte everyone! not too sure if we'll be able to have jersey day this week though but if everyone wants one, there's thurs ^^

whoooo~~! Finally we've managed to play our second game of soccer today with almost half the class (and some more as the audience =p) Guys vs Girls! With Saf and Sean joining the female team in the end XD; and yeah~! We won 5-3! Awesome stuff XD Continued playing basketball and "pancit" shortly after XD; I had a really good time and finally managed to work out! *_* Hope more people will join us in the next round! ^^
